I could ramble about this dog endlessly but I won’t. She is simply outstanding! Without a doubt she is the best pup I have ever produced. Training her is a joy thanks to her infectious desire to please. Sunny is an exceptional marker and retriever, and she is a drop-dead pointer—staunch on her points and naturally honors on point. Whether in the duck blind or the upland field, Sunny is up for the task at hand.
Sunny is fifty pounds of drive and intelligence. She loves to train and will go all day if you are up to it. While this is fantastic, she also has an off-switch and knows when to go and when to WHOA. Sunny is controlled in nearly every situation—no whining or dancing on the line. She’s focused and simply waiting for the command to go.
There is a long story behind Sunny in the way she came to be. It is a tale that still touches my heart. Let’s just say the stars alligned!
