Granson is a dog with a lot of drive and one who loves to work! Granson is what we look for, in that, he is an awesome retriever with great marking abilities. Granson also possesses a natural point which makes him what is thought to be, the total package! Each and every time I work Granson, I am amazed at how easy he makes things seem. He is truly a talented dog and his genes are what makes it happen. I knew early on that he was the type of dog that I wanted to include into my pointing lines. His water drive is second to none. He will make a retrieve in any kind of water, in any weather. Regarding his size, Granson is a lean and muscular 64 pounds. Not a big bulky type of dog. I am sure he will pass along this size and body style to his offspring. What really makes Granson a special dog is that he has all these hunting skills and he is also a great pet and companion. Lily is a 65 pound female that has no quit in her. She will pretty much destroy an upland field and she is in total control while doing so. In our recent trip to South Dakota, Lily demonstrated her ability to track the most wily roosters and to also stick a point that would rival the best pointing dogs out there. She really has it all!! She also has a supreme personality, in that, she will read your body language and pretty much know what’s up before you speak. Lily has had one litter of pups so far and they have demonstrated these same characteristics. Lily carries nearly forty years of my breeding and she is really a dog that most folks would love to own. Lily will pass along these traits in her pups. The genetics are sound and their ability to learn is very good as well. She also plays the retriever game very well, too.
